There are so many attractions to explore while living in this oceanfront beach condo in IB:
Beach walks-can go north for a couple of miles until you reach Silver Strand beach (south Coronado) or go south of the condo for 2 miles along sand dunes and protected lest tern nesting sites. Super nice beach walk going south as it’s very uncrowded and lots of shells. Also super walk for anyone who loves shore birds. Can actually cross the Tijuana river on low tides and walk a couple of miles further south until you get to Border State Park and eventually the Mexico border.
Estuary walk-across the street from the condo is the Tijuana River National Estuary, which is the largest coastal wetlands in southern California. Total walking distance from the condo to the estuary is 1/2 mile (to the entrance) and you can walk an additional 1-2 miles in the estuary.
Biking-the Silver Strand Bikeway is only a short distance away from the condo. You can ride for miles along the Silver Strand all the way into Coronado, and beyond for the serious biking enthusiasts.
Coronado is only 10-15 minutes to get to Coronado’s best dining and beaches.
Visit Mexico, only 2 exits further on I-5 South; bring your passport!
Fishing-shore fishing along the beaches is acceptable and you can fish off the IB pier.
Boating-the closest marina is in Chula Vista, which is only 5 minutes north of IB.
IB still has a drive-in movie theater, and the site is a swap meet on Wednesday, Saturday, & Sunday.
